About Lifehackopia

Clever ideas for everyday life.

Lifehackopia helps make room for a happier, easier, more peaceful everyday life. We cover practical how-tos, worthwhile discoveries, and honest reviews, with clear steps and the tradeoffs you need to decide what works for you.

Useful ideas, honestly explained.

A clever idea can be a setting that saves time, a simpler way to get something done, or a tool that earns its place. Our how-tos explain the steps. Our hands-on tests and reviews explain what worked, what didn’t, and whether it was worth the effort or expense.

Our first articles are in preparation. Published test results must come from actual use and recorded evidence.

What the Worth It Score means

Every review and hands-on test gets a single number from 0 to 100. It reflects what we experienced, not a spec sheet.

  • Worth it70 and above. It did what it promised at a price we think is fair.
  • Mixed40 to 69. Good for some people, a poor fit for others. The review explains which is which.
  • Skip it39 and below. It did not hold up, and we would not spend our own money on it again.

Every scored piece carries a “What we did” line stating how long we used the product and what we spent. If that line is missing, we have not tested it and it does not get a score.

How this site makes money

Lifehackopia is free to read. Our funding model includes:

Affiliate links. If you buy something through a link here, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. A commission never changes a Worth It Score, and we link to products we scored badly just as readily as ones we liked.

Display advertising. Advertising can help fund the publication. Advertisers have no input into editorial coverage and no advance notice of it.

We do not accept payment to review, feature, or score anything. If a company gives us a product for free to test, the review says so.

Corrections

If we got something wrong, tell us and we will fix it and note the change at the bottom of the piece. Write to hello@lifehackopia.com.
